My printer is not available in chromium. I had the same problem in
firefox but fixed it with the following command: sudo snap connect
firefox:cups-control
However this did not work with the chromium snap i got the following error:

I installed Ubuntu 23.04 today and encountered a problem where the
Japanese in the snap package is incorrectly displayed with Chinese font
glyphs.

Were you using the generic kernel stack ? If yes, check your kernel
release number (uname -r) to confirm it’s still the generic kernel
(should end with “-generic”).
If your kernel stack suddenly changed, you’re not alone. People have
reported the updates going fancy and installing unwanted kernel
@Mitsuya Shibata: Well, yes it *affects* Japanese fonts too, but it
makes no sense that *this change* would increase the risk of picking
Chinese glyphs under a Japanese locale.
OTOH, if I start Firefox with:

now Japanese glyphs are displayed.
However, I am concerned that it only affects the snap package, while the
non-snap package seems to select the correct glyphs.
