out my /etc/ld.so.conf.d/
and found, it's my fault:

apt-get dist-upgrade
to upgrade to 14.04.
After running it my desktop cannot show up when reboot.
However, I found I can still use Cirl+Alt+F1 to go to tty1 and login using my
user account with root privilege.

version that has been en the repositories for 3-4 days. M34 landed there
this monday and the release was thursday. NPAPI has apparently been

correctly detect my USB webcam (Logitech V-UAX16) and timing out. Removing

Using empathy-accounts, it is possible to add a lync account using
pidgin-sipe plugin. I didn't see any problems, just need to put the

Thanks. Yes, Ubuntu appears to output to both (all?) digital inputs
simultaneously. I'm not using HDMI output at the moment, so unable to test.

I tried
sudo aptitude install gnome-settings-daemon
and it worked for me.
It uninstalled gnome-compiz and when I executed the same command a second time
everything worked.
Now apt-get upgrade is working again.
