if I pick a directory in ubuntu for importing into the collection, there
is too little UI feedback, sometimes just the import box/count remain
dimmed; I would need feedback no music in folder or all music already
in library or there were errors, check import errors list.
The right thing to do right now is reporting a bug to NVIDIA
proprietary driver's Ubuntu package maintainers, asking them to ship a
suitable udev rule like the one above. There's nothing to do with
lightdm in this case.

BIOS update didn't help. I worked with Blender, and it freezed. I
switched to terminal (sometimes it freezes whole computer, this was not
this case) and killed X server manually. In X log is the same error as
before.

The problem was solved also removing nvidia-drivers. Installing nvidia-331
drivers the problem happens again. I worked until version 3.13.0-34 of linux. A

On A+A config I found although fglrx will not be disabled by gpu-
manager, xorg.conf will still be regenerated, and with the regenerated
xorg.conf there is no graphics switching option in amdcccle (amd control

The result was, that the xorg.conf wasn't changed anymore after reboots.
BUT the output from /var/log/gpumanager.log says: Disabled by kernel
parameter nogpumanager

Tried, but Live uses Nouveau, which is useless in current state
(surely for Blender). I tried to sitch to NVidia binary drivers, but
this does not work in live. I'll not reinstall my system to development
version of Utopic. So, how can I test it with NVidia drivers in live
session?

Based on the guess that the removed sync dbus call in r2041 was causing
a difference in timing, I added a sleep 5 to that same code line. That
seems to fix the problem!
Adding a sleep 5 to the lightdm upstart job however, does not fix the
problem. There are no relevant upstart jobs that are

Just tried installing fresh Ubuntu 14.04.1 and applied all available
updates. I chose Azerbaijani as a main system locale during the
installation and moved Azerbaijani to top in Language support, then
applied the settings system wide.

Hi,
Identical problem with me. Same laptop (xmg p304) and ubuntu version
(14.04 64bit). When I plug the headphones no sound at all. Sound
settings GUI detect headphones when they are plugged, and they are
@Philipp: no, I've never disabled the gpu-manager in the package (or
anywhere else).
What's the output of the following command?

way to reproduce is exactly same as Leonid Evdokimov described. I do
have history for all my contact as this account in a professional one
this 9 years. Bug is specific to ubuntu as it works
