use network scanners; at least I can't use network scanners with it, and
can't recall that it was possible with earlier versions. Have you tried
xsane? If scanimage -L finds the network scanner, xsane should work too.

I'm not sure I can use the nvidia card without the nvidia drivers as
it's an optimus card. With just nouveau installed it works fine,
anyaway.

Why do yo think this would be a bug in firefox-launchpad-plugin? I
think if there is a bug, it's in Firefox itself or move likely in the
driver of your graphics card. Do you use an Nvidia card?
