The desktop icons actually aren't part of gnome-shell. It's nautilus-
desktop, which may also go away in future releases (!) It's also an
X11-only app so depends on Xwayland (!)

My suspicion is that there's an issue with gnome-session, but that's
somewhat of a guess. systemd isn't starting the graphical-session-
pre.target, which would start gpg-agent.service. This is on a fresh
zesty install with minimal packages added.
What I expect to see:
Just did a fresh install of Mint Mate 18.2 onto a new machine. Same
problem exists. While connected to VPN DNS queries are leaking to non-
VPN interface.
This needs to be fixed!

misplaced, or does telepathy-haze truly create directories with unpredictable
names in `/usr/lib/`?

With regards to the gnome-desktop3 patch. I had a look through the
gsettings API and there didnt seem to be a method to say "is this
gsettings key you are about to use valid" - in fact all the
documentation basically says it is up to the programmer to ensure that
a key being used
Nothing happens when I double click text then use Shift+Insert.
Also, using Shift+Ctrl+C and Shift+Ctrl+V don't work in a terminal
opened this way either.
