Hello,
I am facing a very similar issue
I managed to make it work on fresh install but it stopped working after a reboot
The two commands above do not resolve on my laptop
$ sudo service pcscd status
○ pcscd.service - PC/SC Smart Card
This fixed it. Search/Filter now works fine in Nautilus. I hit another
issue just before I checked this bug report, in which Nautilus couldn't
find any files and crashed. Obviously an issue with tracker.
