I have this problem too on 11.04 and 11.10 (Banshee 2.0 and 2.2) . My
Library got pretty screwed up before I noticed. I'm now going through my
2 songs manually restoring albums from backup one by one.

I don't know much about the internals of Banshee (or the system in
general) so I don't know if this is a problem with Banshee or something
'upstream' like D-Bus.
The problem started since I installed Ubuntu 11.10. Ubuntu 11.04 was ok
with Banshee 2.0 and 2.2 (from PPA).
I

Hey Josh/coder543 do you mean to say that this bug affects you too?
Do you have the 'Library Watcher' extension enabled in Banshee?

I at least expect to be able to CHANGE VOLUME with the keyboard when the
SOUND APPLET is open. This isn't a high priortity bug but it definitely
shouldn't be a 'won't-fix'.

I would like to re-open this bug as it happens to me now in Ubuntu 11.10. Could
this regression be related to the recent transition to GNOME3?
I'm using Nautilus 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5 64-bit with the Unity interface.
To recreate:
Open Nautilus
Create new folder in Nautilus
Click: View Sidebar Tree

I'm not sure exactly how to recreate this as I was listening to
rhythmbox in the background.
My library (21000 songs) was on shuffle. It reached the end of a song
then there was no more sound. I opened the rhythmbox window to see what
happened and the interface made it look

Sometimes I get permission-related errors when I try to copy a lot of
songs to my iPod Classic.
I'll look deeper into these errors myself, but the main issue is how
Rhytmbox handles these errors. It generates a new error-message window
for each song that it fails to copy. I
One (easier to implement?) alternative would be to change the 'album art
viewer' in the bottom-left corner so that it can be toggled between
displaying art for 'currently playing song' and 'currently selected
song'.
