Just in case it is relevant, when I upgraded to BIOS 1.18 I ran into bug
#887793 (Kworker constantly taking about 100% CPU) worked around as in
comment 114 there (echo disable
/sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe13). This suspend bug was still seen
before and after the workaround. Before disabling

the ppa. On the Mouse Touchpad settings I see the mouse pointer speed

As Timo says this is absolutely repeatable, on all my Saucy machines.
Log in via lightdm then login via ssh from another machine using ssh -X.
Logout ssh and logout locally, then cannot login via lightdm. Removing
.Xauthority fixes it. Bad .Xauthority attached.

Not everyone is seeing such problems (I see no problems currently for example).
It is not sensible for developers to create a bug report if they are not
seeing the issue - how can they include all the relevant detail? As you are

[SRU] Global menubar items
Since there is a simple patch that appears to work it would be good if
someone who knows how to do it could incorporate it. I suppose they all
have more important issues to deal with however.

@Pere, I presume in fact you /did/ mean 12.10 as there was no 10.12.
Since this bug is only for Unity-2d and there is no Unity-2d then this
bug is not applicable to 12.10. If you are seeing it in the latest
Unity then it is a different bug.
