Title:
Banshee crashing after 1minute 21
Status in “banshee”
Public bug reported:
After some digging it appears that lightdm isn't starting properly. One
fix appears to be Ctrl+Alt+F1,user and password and startx but I fixed
it by switching to using GDM - sudo dpkg-reconfigure -plow gdm.
This happened after I ran updates on Wednesday of this week.
**
When I try and run with the banshee-debug.txt the app fails to load
so tried just to run in debug mode, it launched, briefly, and then
crashed before I could try to play any music giving the following
exception

Reproducable steps are as follows.
1. Start Banshee using terminal and command banshee --debug
banshee-debug.txt
2. Banshee was set to shuffle by song last time and has remembered this
setting. User simply hits play and track starts
3. Outstanding Beatles record, or any other track for that

When booting my plucky laptop with my external VGA monitor attached I
get a login screen in 11.10 that is 1024 x 768 mirrored. It's stretched
on the VGA monitor and displayed neatly in the middle of the screen on
the laptop. When I boot with no monitor attached the login

In a scenario where I am searching in Ubuntu and the search is taking
too long or I decide I don't want to do it anymore I can see the red
cross next to the word searching which I think I should click to
cancel but I can't. It won't let me and no matter how hard I try I can't
Interestingly I also see this error when I just saved my settings to
switch back from LightDM to GDM - was seeing if this had been fixed or
not. I choose GDM, save my choice and get these errors in the terminal.

Here are the zipped entries selected as they stand. I'm awaiting a

Hi Mohamed, I'm sorry but in the past someone has helped me with the
packaging. Can anyone pick this up or talk me through the process? I've
never done it.

Unfortunately I've just learned that the pebble photo is also likely not
the property of the person who submitted it so just to be on the safe
side. Had to zip it at work on a Mac so apologies for any junk extras in
the zip.

We've had to make a last minute edit. There are 2 images, 1 to replace
and 1 where we have the permission of the actual image creator. I've
attached them. Thanks!

We're shortlisting images as we speak but are still waiting on some
contributions from people - the high res images always take a little
while to come in. This time they're taking longer than expected. I'll
upload what we have as soon as I have it.
Also, one image may not be the property of the
