when the system went bonkers this time: it rebooted after switching from
Xorg to terminal.

I also believe that blueman is the main culprit and that blueman keeps

My mistake, LibreOffice 4.2.3 rc3 does not work in Kubuntu 13.10 either,
but copying the 2 files I mentioned earlier also fix it. One thing I

Tested again with Trusty daily-live/current CD image booted from USB
stick.
Perceived perfomance is a little better but moving windows is still
jerky.
glxgears performance improved compared to my last test.

The update solved the problem, but we are using some old machines in integrated
environment and we are unable to update em.
Getting the new version of xorg will solve the problem.

I'm using Evince 3.10.0 in a Lubuntu 13.10 x86 VirtualBox VM.
Certain PostScript files fail to render correctly in Evince.
See the attached example document. It has three pages but when loaded into
Evince only the last page is shown, upside-down.

I have a CanoScan LiDE 20 which worked fine unless i got a new notebook
with usb 3.0 although the scanner is well recognized. I have been
testing with kubuntu 12.04 and kubuntu 13.10. With both the scanner
works with the old usb 2.0 notebook and does not with the new one.
