This issue also exists in G-S-D on Natty 11.04. Could you please
nominate the Natty release series? Any chance this git fix will be
backported?

Wow, this isn't good news. The _only_ reason I use Ubuntu One is to
keep 3 systems with Tomboy notes synced via U1 server.
What is the alternative when the servers are turned off?
Will Ubuntu still provide a sync server for supporting 12.04.x LTS users?

I've followed this bug specifically due to natty 11.04 behavior. The
screen does not lock after blank.
gconf settings:
lock blank_screen is true
lock use_screensaver_settings is false
The display blanks correctly at the time set in the G-P-M settings.
However, the screen does not lock
My bug got duped here. I don't see a screenshot of the actual issue on
this report, so I've attached on, even though it seems the problem is
well understood.

Still seeing this bug, so many releases later, on Oneiric 11.10.
Simple workaround in comment #9 fixes the situation. Couldn't this be
a papercut for the upcoming 12.04 LTS?

@Mathieu: Thanks for checking this out. Yes, it's a cosmetic papercut
bug, and only happens on a new session.
Can be reproduced reliably on my system by mousing over the battery
indicator first, then moving over the network indicator.
Would be nice polish bug to at least make it into the LTS.
Seeing the same problem here all day, every day.
Any update on the bug causing this flood of errors?

Logged in today to see the good 'ol gnome icon set appear on unity.
This is a fully u-t-d Natty 11.04 with Unity only. This bug is sporadic
and infrequent for me, but definitely exists.
Is there any chance of a fix for Natty? Or, are we just moving on ahead
now with gnome 3 only?

While I realize this is an upstream issue, I can't believe there's not
an Ubuntu patch even if upstream devs are unwilling to fix this.

The fact that this carried over from gnome 2.x.x shows a serious lack of
attention to
