[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1478112] Re: Impossible to save settings for Tunneled TLS connection

2016-01-20 Thread Alexander Neumann
Network Manager now works with Tunneled TLS. Not sure whether the bug
has been fixed or it was user error in the past. Either way, the problem
is fixed.

** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1478112] [NEW] Impossible to save settings for Tunneled TLS connection

2015-07-24 Thread Alexander Neumann
Public bug reported:

I was attempting to connect to a Wifi router (WPA WPA2 Enterprise,
Tunneled TLS) using network-manager 0.9.10.0-4ubuntu15.1 in Ubuntu

my Ubuntu install in 15.04, however, this did not solve the problem.
This leads me to believe that it is a new problem in 15.10 and might
have something to do with being unable to save the username and password

It might be a good idea to have an error message explaining what's wrong
in the meantime, so users will know that it's not their fault.

gwibber does not refresh Facebook feeds

Status in Gwibber:

Status in “gwibber” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Since around November 28th, Gwibber stopped updating my Facebook
feeds. First, I tried to delete my facebook account from online
accounts and than uninstall and reinstall gwibber. Then, I removed
ubuntu from facebook app settings after doing all of the above. Then I
checked my proxy settings, and my proxy is on none. When I open
gwibber, I see feeds that are 12-13 days old and when I try to
refresh, it does not do anything. I mean it does not even write
refreshing... at the bottom of the screen. When I check if gwibber-
service is running correctly I get no mistake in the terminal. I've
looked a lot around bugs sections in many sites but none of them had
  an answer.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1019755] [NEW] Suddenly have to unlock keyring after each login

2012-07-01 Thread Alexander Neumann
Public bug reported:

My Ubuntu 12.04 install suddenly started to display following message:

It did not do this until a few days ago. I only had to login once with

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 891613] Re: Skype Icon shows twice while seaching for it at software-center

2012-02-05 Thread Alexander Neumann
Indeed, it is not a usability problem, everything works fine it just
seems odd and at first glance confusing. What is also curious, if you
remove skype, you can click on any of the two skypes to do so, however,
one will remain look as if it is installed. When you then click on
remove on that one it says skype is not installed and afterwards both
skypes are shown as not installed.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 923543] [NEW] Software Center only opening once

2012-01-29 Thread Alexander Neumann
Public bug reported:

1) I am using Ubuntu 11.10
2) The software-center version is 5.0.4

3/4) I can open the software center after logging in completely fine,
however, when I exit the software-center and then try to open it again,
the software-center will not load, I only see the grey default
background. The program is still responsive and I can close the window
by pushing X, it is just that nothing is happening besides the grey
window.

I can reproduce the error on my computer most of the time but no 100%
reliably. Sometimes the software-center will open also if it was open
before. However, most of the time above described pattern occurs and I
do not know how those conditions differ, it seems to be randomly working
sometime.

If I start the software-center in the terminal the only line popping up
is: 2012-01-30 01:09:43,247 - softwarecenter.ui.gtk3.em - INFO - EM's:
17 15 21

When I log out and log back in I can start the software-center once
without any problems and afterwards the same problems begin.

I do not remember when the problems exactly started but it was not
before I started using 11.04. I upgraded directly from 10.10 to 11.04
and from 11.04 to 11.10.
