I got it fixed by deleting the thunderbird* packages in
/var/cache/apt/archives/ and run apt-get update, and apt-get install -f

  i'm using Ubuntu 12.04, i've just installed the distribution and launched the 
update manager for a massive download of packages.
  seems that thunderbird won't be up to date!
