[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1156570] [NEW] LibreOffice default icon theme in Ubuntu should be Human
Public bug reported: LibreOffice 4 in Ubuntu 13.04 (normal version, daily live cd) does not use the Human icon theme by default. It has previously been suggested that this is either an opinion or that when using the libreoffice- gtk/-gnome the default theme is human, however this is not the case in a clean Ubuntu 13.04 install. Using the Human icon theme in all default Ubuntu applications ensures consistency across different applications, and since the theme does show up in the list of themes available for LibreOffice under options, it should be used by default. This is a matter of consistency, fine tuning and attention to detail. Therefore, I think this should not be considered as an opinion, but rather as a bug (and a relatively easily fixed one, since only the default selected theme needs to be changed, the theme itself is already installed). The Human icon theme used to be the default theme for OpenOffice, so I consider this a regression. ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1156570 Title: LibreOffice default icon theme in Ubuntu should be Human Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: LibreOffice 4 in Ubuntu 13.04 (normal version, daily live cd) does not use the Human icon theme by default. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1007765] Re: brightness adjusting crashes system
I can also confirm that the workaround in Comment #71 fixes this bug, even if you increase and decrease brightness very aggressively. Thank you very much SPARX! Hopefully this can now be fixed without the need for this workaround, but this will do for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007765 Title: brightness adjusting crashes system Status in “fglrx-installer” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When adjusting my laptops brightness the system crashes. what logs do in need to add and how to get them? [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1045452] Re: Global Menu in LibreOffice
There are no longer 2 menu's visible, only the global menu remains, but all options in it still get disabled after you use a global menu option once (so for instance, if you click 'File' -- 'Open' and close the dialog, you can't use any of the options in the global menu any more, they are all greyed-out), so I'm not sure if this should be marked as 'Fix Released', perhaps this should be filed as a separate bug? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1045452 Title: Global Menu in LibreOffice Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: This is about LibreOffice Version 3.6.0.2 (Build ID: 360m1(Build:102)) in Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal. The Global Menu is visible for LibreOffice but it's too slow and not usable (all options are disabled). Also LibreOffice has it's menu available in its title bar. So there are two menus showing when having a LibreOffice component open. Sometimes the Global Menu jumps for another program or Ubuntu Desktop itself while working in LibreOffice. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 988241] [NEW] Gedit quicklists don't function correctly
Public bug reported: While gedit is active, when right-clicking on the gedit icon in the launcher, both quicklist options (New window and New document) do exactly the same, they open a new window with two new documents. Expected behaviour was that New window would open a new window (potentially with one new document), and New document opens a new tab within the existing window. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 899157] [NEW] LibreOffice Quickstarter causes shutdown problems in Ubuntu 11.10
Public bug reported: If the LibreOffice quickstarter is enabled in Ubuntu 11.10, my computers will occasionally (depending on the computer from 70 to 99% of the time) hang on shutdown at the final screen with the five dots and the ubuntu logo. The dots stop blinking, but the system will not power down and the screen remains active. The system does report 'System halted', while in fact it hasn't. If the quickstarter is disabled, this problem does not occur. I have been able to reproduce this problem on the 4 machines in my home, which all had the quickstarter enabled in order to get LibreOffice to start faster. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and LibreOffice 3.4.4 (but I believe my problems already existed in a previous versions of both Ubuntu and LibreOffice), both are in Dutch on all machines (I don't know how that would make a difference, but still). ** Affects: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/899157 Title: LibreOffice Quickstarter causes shutdown problems in Ubuntu 11.10 Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: If the LibreOffice quickstarter is enabled in Ubuntu 11.10, my computers will occasionally (depending on the computer from 70 to 99% of the time) hang on shutdown at the final screen with the five dots and the ubuntu logo.
