Same problem for me. I'm using a new DisplayLink Adapter with type DL-
3xxx and the new official Ubuntu driver from DisplayLink. My main
monitors have a flickering mouse pointer now, the Display Monitor not at
all. I also tried all mentioned workarounds, nothing helped. It seems

I have the same problem. Is there any fix now? I'm using Ubuntu 12.04. I
already tried to delete the 0-length file, but it didn't help. I still
get the problem.
