[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1242914] Re: tlmgr unable to set up TLPDB

2014-03-14 Thread Fido
I was actually able to workarround this bug, the problem seems to be an unmet
dependency with 'xzdec' after installing it everything started working. And in
order to use 'tlmgr --gui' there's another unmet dependency with 'perl-tk'.
Hope this helps

Bug description:
In Ubuntu 13.04 (Unity) from the right click menu (on the picture
file) when "set as Wallpaper" is selected wallpaper is changed however
source file is copied (not moved) into ~/Pictures/Wallpapers which btw
is also created. Original file is still located in original location
(for example on the desktop) - so, file is really duplicated.

If source file is already located inside ~/Picutres/Wallpapers folder,
file is also duplicated: new file has "(copy)" added to his name (ie.:
  name_of_file (copy).jpg).

Workaround for this is to open file in Eye of GNOME Image Viewer and
choose set as wallpaper from the right click menu which works fine.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1279811] Re: Clock keeps marked calendar day

2014-02-17 Thread Fido
This happens to me every time a day passes, for instance: if I turn my computer
on today then tomorrow the selected day will be todays, and so forth.
As an example the attached screenshot is from today.

To reproduce (the short way...):
1) disable NTP
2) set the hour to 11:59PM
3) wait a minute

When trying to burn an image using brasero (or selecting the drive to write
to using libbrasero from any application using it) doesn't allow to select the
drive (the drive appears on the list, but it can't be selected), thus making
writing a DVD/CD impossible, which is a major regression from the previous
releases.

  [Development fix]
The fix has been committed upstream at GNOME, see the commit [1] in GNOME git
imported in launchpad as revision 3422 of the brasero master branch [2]

  [Stable fix]
Applying the changes from the commit mentioned above to the 3.2.0 version
retrieved with apt-get source from oneiric fixes the problem.

  [Test case]
Right-click an ISO file and select Open with Brasero Disc Burner, with a
Blank Disc in you CD/DVD+-RW drive, and try to select the drive to write the
ISO file to. Before applying the patch, you will not be able, the combo will
remain empty even after selecting the drive, but after applying the commit, you
are able to select the drive and write the iso file to it.

  [Regression potential]
I am not aware of any potential issues.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 848340] Re: Brasero can't select DVD drive to burn image

I' ve test it with:

brasero-common_3.2.0-0ubuntu1.1
brasero-cdrkit_3.2.0-0ubuntu1.1
brasero_3.2.0-0ubuntu1.1..
libbrasero-media3-1_3.2.0-0ubuntu1.1

and it didn't work, as a matter of fact now the buttons disapeared from
the dialog ('Properties', 'Cancel', 'Burn Several copies', 'Burn'), they
reappear only when the mouse pointer passes over the place where the
buttons are supposed to be.

And a as a secondary bug (I can't remember if it was always like this),
everytime you close the application in order to open it again you need
to kill brasero. (Perhaps this should be another bug)

If the tile has a number (still invisible) it will happen.
I think the jist of it is to set a condition like: if a bomb was found don't
draw any new 'too many flags' circles.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 848310] Re: Alt+Enter doesn't work

2011-09-22 Thread Fido
Thanks for the hint, I checked and the alt key wasn't used in any event
(and it's behaviour was set as 'Default').

BUT! today we updated our three Oneiric systems and they started working
correctly, so I guess the bug report should be marked as invalid?

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 841737] Re: Capitalize Every Word does not capitalize every first character of each word in Calc

2011-09-06 Thread Fido
I've just checked in LibreOffice's bug tracking system, and there's already a
bug report on this issue (#32786
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32786).
The funny thing is that is marked as fixed in version 3.3.0.RC because it was
fixed on OpenOffice (http://openoffice.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=115128).

** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #32786
