[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1449525] Re: icon openshot sooo big
I've attached a screenshot of my desktop which shows an OpenShot file with a huge icon (at its original size—I can't reduce its size) alongside a regular folder icon. ** Package changed: firefox (Ubuntu) = openshot ** Attachment added: OpenShot project file icon size compared to folder icon size https://bugs.launchpad.net/openshot/+bug/1449525/+attachment/4388567/+files/openshot-icon.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1449525 Title: icon openshot sooo big Status in OpenShot Video Editor: Confirmed Bug description: when you create a openshot file this appear big... see that... [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1284221] Re: Shouldn't it be menu bar rather than top bar?
From an IRC conversation that I had with mpt a while back (a year or two ago, now), we settled on the following definition. I added the definition and the usage notes to the Ubuntu Manual Style Guide: The menu bar is the bar along the top of the screen. It contains the window title, window menus, application status menus, and system status menus. While it is colloquially referred to as the top bar or the top panel, it should only be referred to as menu bar in the manual. (Note that the menu bar used to be a single word, menubar. Menu bar should now be two words, however.) If the names of any of these UI elements have changed, I'd like to know. I'd like to have the manual, system docs, and user interface be consistent. We should settle on canonical names for these elements and file bugs against those that deviate from them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to unity-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1284221 Title: Shouldn't it be menu bar rather than top bar? Status in “ubuntu-docs” package in Ubuntu: New Status in “unity-control-center” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The new Application Menu UI in System Settings - Appearance - Behavior refers to the top bar. I thought it was decided that the name of the thing is menu bar. The desktop guide currently uses menu bar all over. https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/unity-menubar-intro.html I suppose it ought to be changed to menu bar in u-c-c for consistency reasons (even if I personally think that top bar would have been more clear). Adding the ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) task as a reminder of the need to include something in the docs about the new feature. Status in “pulseaudio” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Previously using Windows 7 on this hardware last year, used Rosetta Stone language learning application which also had technical issues with audio playback and basic functionality. Ran a System Monitor report yesterday - May 9 2013 - to view processes and discovered that audio-pulse has an abnormally high priority instead of all other running processes which showed normal priority. The good news is that there are no issues whatsoever while booting, installing and operating the Ubuntu version 12.10. I am very pleased with this operating system and its capabilities and functionalities. The audio works well on Rhythmbox and Movie Player applications, as well as, internet video clips which appear on webpages periodically.
