It has already been fixed upstream, as you can see here: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/1265 . The fix is included in GNOME 43, which is included in Ubuntu 22.10. I suspect the memory leak is related to fglrx. After I removed it, Xorg stopped eating my RAM.
