But no mouse pointer

This is still a problem in ubuntu 16.04 Xenial.
In my situation, I have a number of missing files to restore, let's say six.
I run "restore missing files" from the Files right-click option,
then for every missing file, I have to type in my user password for
authentication.
This means that I have
About 1 in 5 reboots result in this bug not starting my NetworkManager.
I get something along these lines:

Error setting owner: Operation not permitted when extracting
I upgraded from 11.04 to 11.10 and Evolution refused to load after the
upgrade. Luckily, I backed up Evolution data prior to upgrade.
Ubuntu 11.10 has changed the default email client from Evolution to
Thunderbird. Please refer release notes for 11.10 -
