Title:
Firefox is not able to play mp4 <video> tags

Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser:
  Fix Released
Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: firefox

With firefox 3.5 html5 was introduced. However only ogg is supported
as it seems. The html5-preview on youtube.com
(http://www.youtube.com/html5) doesn't work at all, but it does play
  in safari and epiphany-webkit.

Please make firefox able to install video codecs or use the ones
  avaible through gstreamer.
