[Desktop-packages] [Bug 906624] Re: I failed to install gmp 5.02
Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug. There is also a vibrant support community available at http://askubuntu.com and you might consider asking your question there. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+question/182493 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906624 Title: I failed to install gmp 5.02 Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I have had some problems with gmp (Gnu bignum C-library) so i tried to install a new version. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 906760] Re: LibreOffice crashes very often, from any application
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a .crash file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to libreoffice in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/906760 Title: LibreOffice crashes very often, from any application Status in “libreoffice” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: the whole machine freezes after a command, which can be any command. it is even not possible to move the mouse, keyboard dead, so only solution is hard reboot. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 904314] Re: Evolution crashes with segfault on viewing certain mails
If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/904314 Title: Evolution crashes with segfault on viewing certain mails Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Hi there, I'm running 64bit Ubuntu 11.10 Kernel 3.0.0-13 and Evolution evolution: Installiert: 3.2.1-0ubuntu1 Kandidat:3.2.1-0ubuntu1 Versionstabelle: *** 3.2.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.2.0-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://at.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages The installation is only a few days old (complete an new) and I've set up Evolution as my mail program. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 901895] Re: Rhythm box plays a song or two, then pauses, then crashes.
** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/901895 Title: Rhythm box plays a song or two, then pauses, then crashes. Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Rhythm Box will play a song or two, or three, then it will pause and when I try to get it to play again, it will crash. Prior to today, it never did that. There were about 75 updates available today on the Ubuntu Update Manager and I updated almost all, except for two which I know I definitely do not need (I am not blind, nor do I have any hardware that a blind person would use so I believe I don't need to update any support for braille, which are the two updates that I declined). The update didn't seem to have anything that directly referenced Rhythm Box. Prior to today, Rhythm Box was working fine and I never had any problems with it. I realize that as of lately, Banshee is the default music application, but ever since I started using Ubuntu, I got used to Rhythm Box, which is why I still use it. I tried Banshee a couple of times, but Rhythm Box felt easier to me. Yesterday, I had no problems with Rhythm Box but today I do. I could be wrong but I am almost certain that the problem is directly linked to one of the updates from today, but being that there were 75 updates and none of them directly referenced Rhythm Box, it is too hard for me to pinpoint the possible perpetrator. I am using Ubuntu Studio 11.10 Desktop 64 bit Rhythm Box 2.90.1 Let me know if I need to provide any more information I saw something similar referenced in Question #173589 but even though that question was reported as solved, I didn't see an explanation as to how to solve or fix it. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 870581] Re: Creating silly control sum
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's Help - Report a Problem menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 840183] Re: no writenn a dvd with brasero:Impossibile collegare i plugin pad
[Desktop-packages] [Bug 796679] Re: Places menu entries not fully integrated
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Please answer these questions: 1. Is this reproducible? 2. If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug? Be as detailed as possible. This will help us to find and resolve the problem. ** Changed in: brasero (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: brasero (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/796679 Title: Places menu entries not fully integrated Status in “brasero” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Binary package hint: brasero When I do a file operation (Open, etc.), I can see no bookmark entries ('Places') for remote locations (FTP, SMP, etc.) in the file dialog. Also, the (gvfs-) connected servers are also not shown on the left in this dialog. This problems happens with a lot of applications, so maybe it's better to solve this in the GNOME-framework, by showing the Places entries by default. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 902875] Re: Rhythbox no conecta no guarda ni obtiene la información sobre la música que se escucha
** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid ** Converted to question: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+question/181644 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/902875 Title: Rhythbox no conecta no guarda ni obtiene la información sobre la música que se escucha Status in “rhythmbox” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: Si se coloca información sobre un CD (título, autor, etc) en la página correspondiente de Rhythmbox, ésta no es guardada en ninguna parte, puesto que al cerrar el programa y volver a abrirlo, la información ha desaparecido.
