[Desktop-packages] [Bug 732450] Re: Both foo2zjs and HPLIP upload firmware to HP LaserJet 10xx concurrently, messing up the printer

2014-06-11 Thread Pelládi Gábor
This issue appeared again in 14.04. I had to remove printer-driver-
foo2zjs package to make my printer (LaserJet 1020) working with hplip.
If both are installed, they are fighting for the printer and the printer
does not print.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1070677] Re: Xorg fails to start because of Radeon Issue [(EE) RADEON(0): [drm] failed to set drm interface version]

2013-03-18 Thread Pelládi Gábor
I have to correct myself. It doesn't matter if I have xserver-common and
xserver-xorg-core version 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.12 or 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.6.
In both cases xorg may or may not start. The kernel version is the key.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1070677] Re: Xorg fails to start because of Radeon Issue [(EE) RADEON(0): [drm] failed to set drm interface version]

2013-03-13 Thread Pelládi Gábor
Now the situation is worse, xserver-common and xserver-xorg-core have been
upgraded to 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.12
This broke again my graphical environment and dropped me to console mode.
I have put back 2:1.11.4-0ubuntu10.6 version from these packages and locked
them too so they won't get upgraded.
Until now it was enough to stay with kernel 3.2.0-32.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 572772] Re: cannot save images on kubuntu 10.04 firefox

2011-11-07 Thread Pelládi Gábor
I have the same problem with Kubuntu Oneiric. firefox
7.0.1+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu2, firefox-kde-support 0.6.2-0ubuntu2. The issue
can be reproduced as described in comment 83.
Open http://countdown.opensuse.org/11.4/large.png in firefox, right click -
save image as, and nothing happens. If it works (a rare occasion), just try it
again, it will fail soon.
browser.download.saveLinkAsFilenameTimeout does not fix it.
If I start firefox from console, the following gets printed:

kmozillahelper(8664): couldn't create slave: Nem sikerült egy io-alfolyamatot
létrehozni:
a klauncher válasza: Ismeretlen protokoll - ''.

kmozillahelper(8664): couldn't create slave: Nem sikerült egy io-alfolyamatot
létrehozni:
a klauncher válasza: Ismeretlen protokoll - ''.

kmozillahelper(8664): couldn't create slave: Nem sikerült egy io-alfolyamatot
létrehozni:
a klauncher válasza: Ismeretlen protokoll - ''.

X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty)
  Resource id: 0x6400012

Removing firefox-kde-support makes save image as work, but it displays
the ugly gnome dialog then.
