I can confirm this for DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION=Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS and network-manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7. Reverting bridge_ignore_without_connections.patch (and recompiling) seems to solve this issue. Kindly re-evaluate
