It took me a while to get back to my ubuntu computer.
Anyway, there is no error when I start nautilus from the command line.
It just closes. This actually happens even if the drive is a USB drive.
Pressing the eject button for the USB drive completely closes nautilus.

TRUE through gconf-editor to make it show up. I am assuming that this is

Ok, I figured out that this only happens on my laptop when it is
connected to an external display. If I disconnect the external monitor,
all of the office apps open up fine.
