Both Mir and Wayland have a completely different input architecture -
they simply don't
A workaround/hack for this issue: http://michaelb.org/projects/fsgamer/
(FSGamer runs games in their own X server, which can improve the speed,
reduce annoying interruptions, and make switching between fullscreen
games and your desktop easy and reliable.)

I'd like to add that this feature is also a must if you Alt-Tab
applications, but I guess it's to early to request it to be implemented
since this bug is only 4,5 years of age - it's not yet vintage.
