transmission by 5 seconds.
It seems to have helped.

needs the headers. I do have the linux-generic package installed and
it also pulls the headers in. The problem was that it consequently
installed the headers *after* processing dkms.

and it stalls after graphical login, leaving a blank screen so I only
could try to fix stuff from the commandline.
