  Convert to web extension

Status in ubufox package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Firefox 57 and later will only allow to load web extensions [1][2].
This add on is currently a legacy extension, and Firefox will refuse
to load it starting with Version 57. Therefore, this extension needs
  to be ported [3].

Current nightlies of Firefox already only accept to load WebExtensions
  [4].

2017-08-12 Thread drwt
This isnt just a performance issue, this is a security issue.

Due to this addon Firefox on Ubuntu cannot utilize web content
sandboxing (which obviously depends on e10s) which means Ubuntu users
are being left vulnerable to security issues.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1627808] Re: e10s support

2016-11-19 Thread drwt
Well, Firefox 50 got released but Ubuntu users cannot benefit from e10s
because this is not fixed.

The next Firefox release will enable e10s for all addons, if ubufox is
still broken by that time all Ubuntu users will have a broken default
browser.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1641844] Re: Please provide Firefox Beta and Dev PPA with separate package for install on Ubuntu Linux together with stable firefox package

2016-11-19 Thread drwt
That is not an official Mozilla PPA, Mozilla has no PPAs.

The only official Mozilla builds are located here:

Title:
Please provide Firefox Beta and Dev PPA with separate package for
install on Ubuntu Linux together with stable firefox package

Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Many users want to have stable and beta/alpha version of Firefox
together on system, for compare and test features. In windows there
are easy, but in Linux - not easy.

Here if official Mozilla PPA for beta versions:
  Official PPA for Firefox Beta
https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/firefox-next
  Official PPA for Thunderbird Beta
https://launchpad.net/~mozillateam/+archive/ubuntu/thunderbird-next

But packages in all this PPA replaces current stable version of
Firefox in system, so users can't run at same time two versions of
  Firefox.

Compiling Firefox from sources is too hard way for most of users -
нere is example of long instructions how to do this manually:
  http://askubuntu.com/questions/548003/how-do-i-install-the-firefox-
  developer-edition

And here is good example for trunk version https://launchpad.net
  /~ubuntu-mozilla-daily/+archive/ubuntu/ppa - I can install it
separately via easy way, without touching current system stable
  firefox.

Can you provide same separate package for firefox beta versions, named
like firefox-beta, that install Firefox beta together with system
Firefox package, with separate config folder, without touching system
  default firefox?

And will be good to see same PPA with separate Firefox deveopment
version (firefox-dev) package and alpha versions.

This will be very useful for many users! Thanks.

Document Viewer does not remember window size

Status in evince package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Evince does not remember it's window size so every time I start to
view a PDF I have to manually configure the window size which gets
  tedious very quickly.

I would like Evince to remember it's fullscreen state so my workflow
  is smoother.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1438003] Re: (1) Creating object for path '/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/0' failed in libnm-glib.

2015-11-08 Thread drwt
It'd be great if this got fixed. Its getting pretty tiresome to
constantly have to reboot laptop and lose data.

Suspending doesnt fix this for me. I wish it would so I wouldnt lose
anything.
