Updated BIOS, and also updated firmware on the dock. Problem persists
(in fact, may now be slightly worse, but not quite certain)

Currently showing the following errors in syslog:

I can try to update the BIOS, but given that the BIOS release notes (see
below) don't mention anything regarding this, it's not likely to fix
anything. The issue disappeared for a while, but has returned in the
past month or so; I'm guess a kernel driver update fixed it, then
regressed.

I pulled apart my laptop and cleaned and re-seated the keyboard and
touchpad cables. Since then I haven't had this issue occur.

Unfortunately the sticker has rubbed off; why would it be any different
to the DMI data?

I'm getting the same error on a Thinkpad Yoga S1 when I connect to a

I'm getting the same problem in 15.10 on a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga S1.
Strange thing is it sometimes works fine for ages, then other times it
drops out every few seconds; enough to make it unusable.
syslog shows the following during a dropout:
Mar 1 16:07:54 vikyoga kernel: [26685.609961] psmouse
I have recently installed 'normal' ubuntu 13.10 on a Fujitsu T5010
tablet (which is almost identical to the T4410 I initially reported this
bug on). The touchscreen and stylus inputs work as they should even with
an external display connected. Which is good news for me. I might try
this on a T4410

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open gedit
2) Go to git directory
3) Change a tracked file (file.c)
4) Execute git add file.c
5) Set gedit as default editor with git config --global core.editor gedit
5) Then git commit
Expected result:
gedit opens, user adds comment, saves the file
Same problem with Ubuntu 12.04 x64.
I don't think it's a wishlist or low priority bug, since it directly
affects all users. Most of us are patient, but this bug won't help
solving bug#1 (aka Microsoft market share)
