Same problem on ubuntu 15.04 64 bit up to date with libre office Version: 4.4.6.3, Build ID: 40m0 (Build:3), Locale : fr_FR.UTF-8. My document is a fresh one and behavior is exactly the same (some char in title disappear). Zooming in/ou/ editing the title make the missing characters back for a short period of time. The disappeared letters do not have any special formatting. In presentation mode (F5) the letters appear correctly. See the attached documents (the slides and the snapshot).
