Toggling the "Enable Wi-Fi" option resets the Wi-Fi and allows the user to reconnect. The latest A10 firmware version is installed on the laptop. I confirmed that the 5G network was still up and running , so the issue is most likely not on the router network end. I have no custom firewall rules that would cause this behaviour , but I do see a lot of multicast address resolution requests being blocked in the ufw logs.
