I am having the same problem in Ubuntu 12.10 using unity. Just thought I would mention this as most people here seem to be using gnome. It's driving the crayz. I've dug through so many settings and tried a few command line work arounds suggested on other forumns, but every 10 minutes on the dot

The watchdog timer fires every 120secs. I don't know if that would be considered significant in terms of impact on battery usage? Anyway I can provide a patch to remove the watchdog from gnome- screensaver, if that would be preferred. -- You received this bug notification because you are a
