I can, this happens at random with empathy/UOA, and not just with facebook. I've seen this with every PC I've installed ubuntu on. It loved to randomly decide my accounts need authorization until I reboot or re-add the account. And sometimes re-adding the account doesn't even work. empathy/UOA is
