[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1063782] Re: Mouse pointer speed settings have no effect

2013-03-18 Thread Lisa Schmidt
Sensitvity has no effect at all. And even at lowest values for
Acceleration it's still too fast. The spectrum of values is too narrow.
Plugging in a new mouse the values of the mouse settings are already
very low by default. It should be in the middle and then from there the
user could adjust the values. When starting from very low values, the
settings are very limited already, no possibilities for slowing it down
enough. Very annoying. Using a standard wireless mouse with 1000dpi.
Values are at lowest, still it's too fast.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1063782] Re: Mouse pointer speed settings have no effect

2013-01-24 Thread Lisa Schmidt
I have the same issue after getting a new keyboard/mouse set which is
wireless. The old mouse was a cable mouse. I still try to figure out how
to fix it. The mouse speed/acceleration settings have no effect at all.
The mouse is always going at full speed which is very annoying.

Thank you for your bug report, I guess you didn't keep the buggy config
or have an idea what file was creating the issue? it will be hard to
debug it/figure it out without having the issue

Managed to 'fix' this by deleting various config directories (.gnome2/
etc) and resetting to default. Not sure what caused it to break in the
first place.
