Hi to everyone, and sorry about my english. I have ubuntu 16.04 and evolution 3.18.5.2, and the preview pane in classic or vertical view, is really small, you can't even see the complete header with that size!!, and there's no option to resize any section of evolution. The fix that i found is go through dconf-editor in this path -> org -> gnome -> evolution -> mail .Here's all the options of the program so , as i wanted the vertical view, i change the hpaned-size parameter and hpaned-size-sub parameter to the value 750, with a resolution of 1920x768 and font size 15 to mails, its see pretty fine. Cheers to everyone ;)

There are two ways to change the width: (1) manually and (2) by changing a value using the gconf-editor. (1) Change the width of the vertical preview pane and the message list and preview pane will reflow accordingly. As long as I don't close Evolution the width remains correct. When I restart Evolution (for example after rebooting) the width is incorrect again and I have to change it again. (2) Change the width of the '/apps/evolution/mail/display/paned_size' key using gconf-editor to something else. If Evolution is open, the preview pane updates its width accordingly. If Evolution is closed, the entered value isn't used and the width of the preview pane is put back to the default setting. I don't know what's causing this bug, but I do know that is has something to do with the width of the preview pane and I think (not sure about this) with the mentioned gconf-editor key.
