Title:
screen corrupts - 13.04 daily build - unknown reason

Status in “xserver-xorg-video-ati” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
I was running USB tests when it first happened, and then unity crashed
  (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1161916)

Then it happened again without unity crashing, and then again (unless
  it's all releated).

I don't have a working camera at this time, but the screen turned into
a series of horizontal lines, that would scroll up and down with the
arrow keys (I'm assuming it was the webpage I was on) but wouldn't
scroll with the mouse. The mouse pointer looked the same.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1165457] Re: screen corrupts - 13.04 daily build - unknown reason

2014-01-08 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Charles Ford, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-ati REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Please note, given that the information from the prior release is
already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one
would not be helpful.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
screen corrupts - 13.04 daily build - unknown reason

Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I was running USB tests when it first happened, and then unity crashed
  (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1161916)

Then it happened again without unity crashing, and then again (unless
  it's all releated).

I don't have a working camera at this time, but the screen turned into
a series of horizontal lines, that would scroll up and down with the
arrow keys (I'm assuming it was the webpage I was on) but wouldn't
scroll with the mouse. The mouse pointer looked the same.
