[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1171832] Re: Xorg freeze

2013-04-23 Thread jay-allemand
Please found here more details about of this bug :
Unity freeze randomly when I am using firefox. It's always happen on particular
website with lot of flash annimations or videos. I can't reproduce this bug, it
is unpredictable.
When it's happen, the mouse and the keyboard have no actions (you can still
move the mouse but click doen't work). Notice that the sound are still playing
! If you don't know what to do, the only solution is an hard reboot. But you
can still press ctrl+alt+F1 to reach a shell. Then you can safetly reboot by
this way or try to fix the problem (Kill firefox does not solve the problem,
the only way I found is to kill compiz and restart unity, but leave to a very
slow and unstable system).
This bug appeared more frequently on Ubuntu 12.04 than on ubuntu 12.10. But it
never happenned on ubuntu 11.10.
Is threre more efficients commands to restart unity/compiz (than pkill compiz
and unity --replace) and to get a more usable system after ?
When it will happen again, how can I make a full/good report ? Pressing
ctrl+alt+F1 and running ubuntu-bug in this shell will trigger the problem ?
Thanks,
