Public bug reported: Google Chrome, the most popular web browser on the planet is not available by default in the Software Center. This is just ashame. It is great that Ubuntu comes pre-packaged with all the latest and greatest opensource software, but the popular proprietary softwares need to be easily accessible as well.
I know it's a licensing issue with Google and Adobe to prepackage or redistribute their softwares, but there is a get-around if you just include the official Google PPA by default with Ubuntu to fix this issue. Bring Chrome to the Software Center. It is the most popular web browser, used directly by Ubuntu's Target Audience, the General Public.
