After sorting through some unrelated issues, I was finally able to
verify this. I can, once again, install wifi drivers from the
installation media (and use the wifi without reboot). Thanks again for
the help.

Note: there was a small error in the partial patch from yesterday, it
should just be pkg instead of pkg.name in the mark_install line.
Kubuntu had planned to switch away from jockey for 13.10, but it didn't
get done. We're already working on it for 14.04.
