Confirming here, the order change is trivial to reproduce (no need of as many tabs) - open chromium from trusty release - go to the settings, pick the option to restore the session - open 4 tabs - go to the second one, load a site, middle click on an url - the site opens in tab 3 - close and

The loose tabs in the session is less trivial to reproduce (you need more tabs open), I can confirm that with ~20 tabs open, after closing/reopen some are missing (I took a screenshot before, it helps to compare) There is a similar report upstream on
