i am using ubuntu gnome 14.10 on a medion akoya netbook dual boot with win 8.1. The sound worked fine until i plugged headphones in for the first time - then it got stuck in headphones mode. In settings there is only headphones for output devices and a little heaphones symbol in the volume bar.
