Public bug reported: I have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus, running Ubuntu 14.04 I usually running it with external VGA-monitor and it works fine. Yesterday I had it connected to a second television with HDMI.
When it boots up i got message: "Could not change to screen configuration: could not set configuration for CRTC65". This message comes only when I have both extra screens connected, when I unplug one of them, the is no error message. I also feel it a little disturbing that screen configuration is only for the user, when I log out I got the standard configuration, maby it should be like this because the screen configuration applies to the users? I think that in windows, changing the screen config also affects the login screen? ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327149 Title: Screen configuration error with two monitors to laptop Status in “compiz” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus, running Ubuntu 14.04 I usually running it with external VGA-monitor and it works fine.
