I typed
sudo apt-get install nvidia-331-uvm --reinstall
It has just run without errors.

I'm not a Linux expert by any length and somebody correct me if I'm
wrong, but gathering from what you've pasted here - aren't you trying to
install a 3.16 kernel module into 3.13 kernel?
