close this as a duplicate of bug 88819.

I found a hint in a linuxmint forum, sorry, couldn't reproduce the URL.
Uncomment the line PSLevel=0 in the file /etc/libreoffice/psprint.conf
This fixed the problem for me, printing works now as it should.
(Ubuntu 14.04).
