  Cannot connect to Epson Stylus CX4600 with 16.04

Bug description:
  With my Epson Stylus CX4600 printer/scanner in Ubuntu 16.04 xsane and
  simplescan can detect what kind of scanner I have, but cannot connect
  to it.

  This worked fine in 14.04.
