Public bug reported: I think it would be really nice if one could get built-in DE desktop notifications when certain events occur such as a download is finished.
There could be a section in the Preferences which would allow the user to select which events they want to cause the desktop notification to be shown. Currently an add-on is required to be installed to get this functionality, but I think it would be much better if such functionality were built-in. ** Affects: ubuntu-gnome Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1616994 Title: Firefox should allow showing of built-in DE desktop notifications for certain events Status in Ubuntu GNOME: New Status in firefox package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I think it would be really nice if one could get built-in DE desktop notifications when certain events occur such as a download is finished.
