Title:
gnome-software process does not quit after closing application window

Status in gnome-software package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Gnome-system-monitor shows a process "gnome-software" that continues
running after the application window has been closed. The process
constantly takes 100–200MB RAM and was not there after boot/login.

  Observed behavior:
Process does not quit after quitting the application window, although it is
neither used nor does it seem to give any other noticeable benefit from the
reserved memory.

  Expected behavior:
After closing the application window, it's process ends.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1644830] Re: gnome-software process does not quit after closing application window

2017-07-12 Thread asdqweasd
This bug happens to me on Ubuntu 17.04 also. It seems that memory
consumption never decreases, making things even worse (related bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1616332).
