gnome-terminal is an unusual app with a server and a client. I think it
might be easiest if the Relaunch button would not show for crashes
related to gnome-terminal.

** Summary changed:

- restrictive permissions after relaunch from crash message box
+ Relaunch after crash doesn't work right for gnome-terminal

** Also affects: apport (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
       Status: New

Title:
Relaunch after crash doesn't work right for gnome-terminal

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I was using gnome-terminal on Ubunutu 14.04 when it crashed. When the
crash notification message box appeared ("submit dump", etc.) there
was an option to relaunch the terminal. I chose this option.

Git started exhibiting strange behaviours when trying to clone
repositories, claiming it did not have permission even if ran within a
directory with 777. Eventually I realised it may be a terminal issue
and when I closed it and opened a new one from the launcher the
  permissions error disappeared.
