I have this problem in Xubuntu 17.04 i386 and amd64 versions, in fresh install and live usb too, with my 2 different dongles (a rtl8187b and a Buffalo Nintendo WiFi). I tested the i386 iso on 2 computers (one of them is a 64 bit capable laptop). Ethernet and integrated rtl8188ce wifi adapter
