Public bug reported: network-manager: Installed: 1.4.4-1ubuntu2 Candidate: 1.4.4-1ubuntu2 Version table: *** 1.4.4-1ubuntu2 500 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu zesty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
Description: Ubuntu Zesty Zapus (development branch) Release: 17.04 Wifi seems to show connection but when Firefox is used, it displays that it cannot connect. My workaround is to initialize Chrome, type in any page and then it displays the desired web page. Soon that is successful, I go back to using Firefox without issues. This effect is the same when attempting to update. When I try to do an update whether through command line or GUI, I cannot get connection. I'll then go to initialize Chrome and then it budges. Afterwards I'm able to conduct an update.
