[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1796836] Re: gnome-calendar crashed with SIGSEGV in gcal_manager_is_client_writable()

There is no bug 1761466, apparently. Some further testing on Ubuntu
18.10 (dev branch) + GNOME 3.30 later:

The situation somewhat normalized after removing several applications like
GNOME Documents, Weather, To-Do and some others.
The tasks in Evolution (and/or GNOME Calendar and the calendar in the
notification area) still disappear, but reappear when entering a new task in
Evolution. Everything seems back to normal from there, until the issue reoccurs
after closing and restarting evolution. Entering a new task makes the other
tasks visible again.

Title:
  gnome-calendar crashed with SIGSEGV in
  gcal_manager_is_client_writable()

Status in gnome-calendar package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I'm having serious calendar/task issues under Ubuntu+GNOME 18.10b.
Evolution losing its calendar/tasks/events settings and not being able
to recover by restoring backup data. Then there's GNOME calendar
hanging and/or crashing. I tried several things like completely
removing all evolution and calendar related data and reinstalling
(even manually), but that did not result in a much better outcome
  either.
